Less is More one layer

February 12, 2011

Last night while I was blog hopping, I found a new challenge blog which started last week. (wish i had found it earlier so i could have done the first challenge).  This is a different challenge blog to those i have taken part in before, because rather than using lots of stash on your cards, here the idea is to use only a little.

This is just what i needed to get my mojo flowing again, so today i decided to have a go at their second challenge.

Easy you think? not having to use much on your card?  No way.  It is the hardest thing I have ever done.

The blog is ‘Less is More’  And there challenge this week is – ‘One layer’

Ok so here is the card after many hours of careful thought, I have created:

P1060643

The card actually looks a lot better in the flesh so to say

Heart: Whispers – black embossed and the centre filled with glitter to give a bit of depth

Sentiment: Stampin up – Whimsical words.  I have inked this stamp using my copic markers because i couldn’t find the black in my washable ink pens and my kids had pinched the red one to do their valentine cards grrr.   But luckily the ink cleaned off really well with the alcohol hand was i keep in my handbag to keep the kids dirty mitts clean lol.

Hope you like

It’s an interesting concept isn’t it… the one layer card… you have to be brave, and you DID it!
Well done and thanks for joining our challenge.
I hope you manage to visit some of the other participants and leave a few comments!
We hope to see you again next week for another C&S challenge!

I just realised you were supposed to use a flower or a tree, but I was so pleased you joined us I forgot to mention that!

Well, it looks like a heart-shaped flower to me, Jilly, and it is a most gorgeous card. The heart sparkles so nicely.

It may not be a flower or tree, but it’s a stunning CAS card – just love that heart!!!
