I am so excited. Last night my daughter gave birth to the most beautiful little girl Alicia Marie weighing in at 7.06lb’s. So I am a Grandma for the first time.
I am very tired as i didn’t get home until about 2:30am but it is worth it. My daughter has had a few complications but hopefully they will be resolved although I can’t seem to get through to the maternity unit this morning for an update, but I’m sure i will soon.
Ok now for this weeks challenge at Fab ‘n’ Funky challenges.
This weeks Challenge is a Colour combo
Blue, Green and White
here is my creation for the challenge:
Papers: DCWV ‘Old World’
Sentiment: See D’s ‘Blooming Friendship’
Well I have finally got the crafting bug back but this is because my first granddaughter is due any time. My daughters Due date is today although no signs as yet so I thought getting back into crafting and getting some DT work up to date would be the best thing to do, but can you believe it, I have got a total blank on making a card for the new arrival.
I can make baby cards all day long, but as this is for my first grand child I just can’t seem to put onto paper what i want to do. Any quick suggestions would be gratefully received
I’m really sorry that i have not posted on here for a while but i have been having serious computer problems and have only just managed to get it resolved. Hopefully anyhow fingers crossed.
To top it all it hasn’t been a good christmas or new year so far. Firstly no computer, then on christmas day we spent a few hours in the maternity unit with my pregnant daughter who was getting pains (luckily a false alarm). Then we had a broken pip in the bathroom which flooded through the ceiling in the hallway, so looks like we need to get some decorating done in the very near future. Oh and then my Nan who is 92 years old was admitted to hospital so long round trips visiting, which was hard with the snow.
Luckily great friends and family helped celebrate the new year with a party at mine which brightened thisgs up a bit.
But there are other personal issues I am at the moment trying to deal with, which are too personal to discuss on here but hopefully will be able to resolve ( I really hope so anyway as i don’t think i will be able to cope if they are not).
And then this evening i have been upset by an email. It wasn’t a nice one at all and i was hoping for some cheery emails when i finally have managed to read them after a month without.
I am feeling really down at the moment with all the issues i’m having to deal with and thought finally getting my computer back and having contact with all my friends again would cheer me up but it seems that is not to be.
Will just have to throw myself into my crafting and hope that life gets better.
2010 has not had a good start so far
Sorry I’m late posting this today but you wouldn’t believe the trouble i have had recently. Firstly the router for the internet went to heaven and we had to wait until payday to buy a new one. Then today my computer decided to overheat and wouldn’t load up so had to wait for it to cool down, then my new printer that is only 2 days old, refused to recognise the ink cartridges that are in it saying they are not genuine ones but they are as they came with the printer (this is going back tomorrow) and then to top it all off my external hard drive that i keep all my crafting graphics on, decided that wasn’t going to work either so i couldn’t access any photo’s of my cards that i had put on there. (bit of TLC work wonders on that)
So as you can see it has been a very fraught day and i am just now trying to calm down.
Ok so here is this weeks challenge at Stamptacular Sunday Challenges

Day 258 at 365 cards is put a lid on it – incorporate a hat into your card
I have stamped the background design directly onto the card and then coloured with sakura stardust and glaze pens.
Not sure what make the stamps are as they came out of a bin of lots of separate acrylic stamps at the NEC
